Hey residents of Cortland! Want to win $300 in cash, a pan of 15 cinnamon rolls from Paper Moon and a family dinner gift certificate from Schro Bros Pizza?! Enter your home to win our First Annual Christmas Light Competition!
The rules are simple:
Enter your house in the competition by December 8th. Registration is free!
Your house will be assigned a number on a map of Cortland which will be handed out to voters the night of the competition.
Have your house decorated with your light display turned on from 6pm-9pm on December 13th.
This is a People's Choice competition, and anyone can vote! Voters will drive around and check out the town lights and vote for their favorite in Paper Moon between 6-8pm during our Cookies with Santa event. (The event says 6-9pm because the CIA’s light competition runs until 9pm!) Make sure to stop in and grab some cookies and hot cocoa before checking out the lights yourself!!
Winners will be announced the following day via social media!
The best part is there are three more chances to win! This event coincides with the CIA's light contest judged by First State Bank. Judges will be going around to determine a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner with cash prizes. The same house can win People's Choice from our event AND money from the CIA's event.
